Mikey sco is 100% correct. And Fr_Chuck must have not read any of the posts before he posted because he is completely wrong. NCIC is a national database that does not contain any criminal history information.

Your criminal history will be kept only by the states you have been arrested in. Other states can access those records to check your criminal history.

NCIC (National Crime Information Center) is a law enforcement tool available through the FBI. This system is extremely protected by law and unauthorized use carries severe penalties to a violator.

The system obtains information concerning cases and case disposition.

If you've been arrested, the arresting agency submits the information via a mandatory crime reporting format. Additionally, the courts provide the disposition of that case.

Best wishes!

I believe that NCIC shows a record of arrest, not of convictions. It is only available to law enforcement.

On the NCIC report the police will see any time you were arrested, if you were convicted, even expounged records show up on them.

These are for police and/or national security viewing, the who can see and even who can run them are very restricted.
