We're interested in either snorkeling, riding 4-wheelers, or scuba diving (something non-certified divers can do) when we go on our cruise in August. Anybody that has been here and experienced excursions, your input is appreciated! If you can provide info on all three areas, please do!

The snorkeling is amazing! I also recommend taking a sail, the sights of the mountians and the water is breath taking... I am also going back to that area and I learned from last time to bring my own snorkeling gear, its cheaper and then if you find a nice beach you can go on your own and have some privacy and not have to pay 49 bucks~! Have a balst, its so beautiful down there... You do know that you have to have a passport now too, right?

No understand-how needed. call St Maarten 12 metre challenge at 542-0045 i don't think of you are able to scuba dive in case your now no longer approved. Many cruise passengers take a cab head to Orient sea coast the position that you'll snorkel and income from the sea coast. there's a ton of eating places and bars in this sea coast. besides the undeniable fact that pay attention it is a garments non-needed seashore. If this may difficulty you pass it and flow to Mullet sea coast and snorkel. Have relaxing. St Maarten is a delightful island to talk over with. you've a blast. You don't say how many hours you will be in St Maarten. I don't know about 4-wheelers but I can suggest Para-sailing. Call Aqua Mania Adventures 544-2640 when you get there.

Take the Challenge, racing aboard a real American's cup 12 meter race boat. no experience needed. Call St Maarten 12 metre Challenge at 542-0045

I don't think you can scuba dive if your not certified.

Many cruise passengers take a cab head to Orient beach where you can snorkel and enjoy the beach. There is a ton of restaurants and bars on this beach. But BEWARE this is a clothing optional beach. If this will bother you skip it and go to Mullet Beach and snorkel.

Have fun. St Maarten is a great island to visit. You will have a blast. If all else fails go shopping. It's all duty free.

Lots of things to do on this Island. They have a lot of good pamphlets in the airport that will give you phone numbers to call for 4 wheeling, jet skiing , etc. I know that you do not have to be certified to go scuba diving on this island. One thing I would strongly urge you to do when scuba diving in Saint Martin is to get a scuba buoy to attach to your leg so that boaters, and jet skiers and others on the water can see your diving. The waters around this island have heavy traffic all the time. I notice that the natives all attach these red buoys to their legs with long nylon ropes when they are diving. Other wise your taking a strong change of being hit by some type of boat.

Do the snorkeling. Underwater always seems to be the best.
