Ok, I am having a Lingerie shower thrown for me next friday night, I'm really excited, but the thought crossed my mind of how the heck do you write a thank you note to someone who gave you a nightie or thong or something w/o being just totally sexual?! Or do you even write thank-you notes for them? I don't think I have ever gotten one back from goin to a lingerie shower now that I think of it. I am majorly into doing things properly and following ettiqueute, I have promptly thanked everyone with a nice note who has sent us a gift so far w/in a week......so I don't wanna just skip it if I'm supposed to! What do you do?

Definitely write thank you notes. You can either be simple and sincere and say that you appreciate their attending the shower and that the gift was lovely and you look forward to wearing it or you can be cheeky (which is more fun, providing the person gets the humor and doesn't get offended) and write that your fiance loved the gift and that he wants to thank the person personally for the beautiful lingerie and that he enjoys it very much!

She probably thinks AC/DC music is the best too. How does she feel about cinnamon rolls? Heck, if she likes them she can't be all bad. Right Dings? Print the note off the computer printer at work and put it in her work station when she takes a break. Let her sweat it out who has it in for her. You can test her later to see just how jumpy it made her. Sneak up behind her and softly say "Boo!" If she jumps and her head hits the ceiling, you got her good.

You absolutely should send thank yous. You can say simple things like "I loved the color." Or just describe the goods as "fun, daring, playful" etc. I think that would be a safe route to describe and appropriately thank your lingerie givers.
Have fun!!!

Just simply say thanks for the gift! They know what they got you, and they know what you are going to do with it. There is no reason that you -or they- should be embarrassed about it. It is, afterall, a lingerie party : ) Have fun and congrats!

I think it depends on the personality of whoever gave you the gift...For example...For my sisters bachelorette party, as a joke, I got her analbeads! She sent me a POSTCARD!! that said THANKS FOR THE ANALBEADS! in bright red lettering on it...I'm sure the mailman had a good laugh with that! If someone would appreciate that, then do that! If not, just thank them for the "unmantionable" gift, or whatever...

How about, thanks for the thoughtful gift, it is never easy to pick out something so personal for someone else, but you did a great job. I love the gift, and (finance's name) loves it even more. Sincerely _________ blushing bride...literely.

Don't mention what exactly they bought for you. Just thank them for the wonderful gift they gave you.
