Keep an eye on your cats eyes. If you notice any color discharge, get the cat into a vet right away. Or, if you see that the cat is uncomfortable with bright lights, the cat could have a scratch on its eyes. You'll want to get the cat in right away, or the cat could lose an eye.
Sneezing isn't too much to worry about this time of year, with pollen, and spring coming. What you do want to watch for is labored breathing, green discharge from eyes and nose, open mouth breathing, or a lethargic kitty - that would definitely warrant a vet visit right away! That could be an upper respiratory infection (URI) and could be deadly to cats.
Take care, and good luck!

It's probably a cold. My cat had one when I got him... cats usually catch colds from each other when they are in shelters etc. My vet told me to wait it out a few days. If it continued and he had eye crusties due to watering eyes (thats what I call them) then to bring him back.

If you are on a tight budget, you can call your vet and tell him/her that you are sure your cat has a cold and would like to know the approximate cost of meds are and if you NEED to have an office visit etc. I don't know for sure, I have heard about home remedies for kitty colds (like vitamin C)... you might want to ask your vet if there is anything at home you can give etc.

Hope that helps

The symptoms sound like an upper respiratory infection, not serious but she should be looked at by a vet. Check with your local humane society, most offer low cost health care at their facilities.

Maybe your cat is allergic to (itself) cats.

Its eye is watering....who cares! I tell you, it is people like you that make vets like us jobs easy.....we could tell you anything we want, give you some eye cream and charge you $250.00.

There, now did I get the 10 points?
