Arabic is Semite, then learn Hebrew
French is Latin, then learn Italian or Spanish
English is Germanic, then learn German
To such a great extent, Arabic influences Persian, Afghani, Urdu, Swahili
Good luck with Japanese!
Would it surprise you if I tell you I have a MA in comparative linguistics and I speak all the languages mentioned above. I also published approximately 35 Arabic short stories in Kuwait.
PS: Arabic dialects are not so foreign to each other. They are pretty close, stemming from one mother tongue; Classical Arabic which is also understood by everybody including the layman.

With your language skills you have a variety of career options. You can teach at a local community college or university, work as a translator, a State Dept. FSO (Foreign Service Officer), a CIA Operations Officer, an Inetrnational Business Analyst, a News Foregin Correspondent, a Military Intelligence Officer, etc. However, your academic background will have some bearing on your chosen profession. What am I studying now in school? What do I have an interest in? What is my passion? What will be a good fit considering my personality, course of study and language skills? Those are the kinds of questions I think you should be asking yourself.
