He stopped calling and now he wants to come back.
Come on! It has nothing to do with forgiveness.
You (the woman) are the one that will decide that how valuable you are, you can't just let people walk in and out of your life. You are not a doormat.
Fact is, if they did it once, they might do it again and they all usually never have a tangible reason for leaving in the first place.
Ask yourself if you were the one that left and wanted to come back , will he take you back?
What is the consequence of your taking your old AWOL boyfriend back, the consequences is that you will break this new guys heart. Is it worth it?
I think as a woman the most important thing to you is your piece of mind, it is not worth taking him back because you are going to be worried that he might leave tomorrow.
Honey there are many good fishes in the sea, don't allow yourself to become short-sighted.
Take your happiness from other people's hands and make it happen for you.
Forget the old, stick to the new.

Follow your heart. i once had a girlfriend, we had problems and i tought i should give her sometime but by the time i got back she was already hooked with someone else i was so mad because i felt that was the cause of the problems in the first place, she was crying while telling me but i told her to continue her relationship with her new boyfriend if it would make her happy because i wish her well, and she gladely took that option, latter when we hooked up again by coincidence, she felt so ashamed of herself, explained to me why she did what she did, and that she regret taking that decision because the guy even left her and by the time we hooked up i was married and was not even concidering any affair.

Let the chips fall where they may. Make a choice (you can't have them both, after all) and stick with it. If you find yourself falling in and out of love with both of them, you're gonna have a serious problem on your hands, and in which case, I'd suggest you be with neither of them.
Hope things work out alright for you.

be upfront with him and tell him you've already moved on, if he wants to be with you he's gotta start over and the relationship is not going to be monogomous until you feel it's ready to be. this means he has to work harder to get you to be with only him...oh yeah, this is only if you're not monogomous with your other guy...talk to the new guy and see what level you guys are on and if you should still be lookin into other possibilities
