I posted a ? earlier about my 9 year old having a nightmare/halluciantions with snakes and bugs and demons last night and wouldn't go back to bed. (thx for all the answers)

I found out that yesturday at her catholic school they tasted the communion bread for the first time. Several types.

I called her dr. and I am not patiently waiting for his call, obviously.

Is it possible she had a food allergy to the bread? If so what would be the ingrediants so I can talk to her dr and not give her that food again?

If you wanted to know here systems; I had posted a question under: parenting- grade schooler: Help my 9 year old is scareing me!!!!

yes she may had a food allergy do to some toxic mixture in bread like any fungus, ergatamine. my suggestion please donot give bread to her. if she continue hallucinaction then you have to give her a glass of milk with 1 tsf of ghee. try to induce vomiting or purgative as per your doctor to remove toxic material from her stomach

You might want to visit the school and take a peek at their communion, or sit in some of the classes to see what the kids are being taught. Lessons about snakes (serpents), and Satan and demons and fires of hell would give anyone nightmares.

While it's possible she has a food allergy, if she's been eating bread, wheat or products with gluten for years, my first guess would be the curriculum.

Well, anything is possible. I know I took communion from a church once and it made my stomach bitter for 3 hours. But, communion bread seems pretty basic. I would call the catholic school, her teacher, and find out exactly what they served, where they got it, the ingredients, etc. If it turns out your child did have a reaction to it, make sure they know not to serve it to her again, they will have to find an alternative.

Catholic school will give anyone nightmares. Take a look at her religion book, are they studying sin right now..or the devil...we had outbreaks of nightmares when we studied these subjects. Sometimes its just too much for a kid to get at such a young age.
