Eat chicken, fish, vegggies, fruit, whole wheat(rice, whole wheat bread, pasta) No sugars No whites(no white bread no white rice and no white pasta) stay away from Creamy sauces and creamy salad dressings. Try extra virgin olive oil...DOn't eat cookies, cakes, pop, chips, icecreams...pies..)Reach for veggie sticks, fruit, popcorn(unbuttered) low fat dairys, icecream, yogurt) nuts.....
6-8 glasses of water /day
eat something from food group every 2-3hrs.It kicks your metabolism into overdrive and starts burning up that fat* Exercise is important also. Walk everyday 45min-hour ..use exercise ball for crunches, pushups etc..) keep active to burn more calories.

Healthy food, proper portions, excercise 4 times a week. Plenty of time to properly lose 15-20 pounds the healthy way and keep it off. Proper weight loss should be 2-4 pounds a week max, or you will just gain it all back plus some.

Sorry no magic pills or answers if that is what you were looking for.

Liposuction ! You cannot practically diet away that much *fat* in a few months.

To burn off one pound of body fat requires the expenditure of a little over 4000 calories. A maintenance diet for an adult is around 2200 calories and a modest bit of that of replacement proteins - so your body only uses say 2000 cal per day.

If you dropped down to say 1600 cal a day (which is hard) you'd lose 1lb a week; 1000cal a day is 2lb/week. I don't believe people are capable of voluntarily staying on a 1000 cal diet (2lb loss a week) for 10 weeks and very few on a 1600cal diety for 20 weeks. Your survival instincts kick in and force you to eat more.

There are so many different ways to lose weight. Watching calories, watching fat, drinking plenty of water, and Exercise!
There are many diet plans out there also like Atkins, Weight Watchers, South Beach, The Zone, etc. My husband lost 40 lbs on Atkins in about 3 months with exercise. I lost weight with Weight Watchers, which is great because you learn to eat normal food, just smarter choices and smaller portions.

This is what I do:
1st 30 days. No fried foods at all. No alcohol. Do not eat after 8PM. Eat plenty of fiber. Oatmeal is good. Excercise. Burn at least 3,500 calories over the 30 days choose how you want to burn them (running/weights/etc).

2nd 30 days. Still watch what you eat but weekends are "free days". Alcohol in moderation. Do not eat after 8PM and burn at least 4,000 calories over the next 30 days.

I did that two years ago and lost 10 pounds in 60 days. I was able to maintain the lower weight for one year and lost 10 more pounds in a 60 day "burst" this year.

I had 10 lbs to lose and I joined weight watchers, it's only $12. a week and I did really well. I lost my 10lbs and now I am working on 5 more for my bikini... Give it a shot, its simple and its not strict, you just learn to have smaller portions and make healthier choices.. best of luck~!

Keep tabs on what you eat. Take note of everything you put in your mouth. Many times the sauces and side dishes can be much higher in fats than the actual dish itself. Its so easy to forget that the little extras that accompany a meal can add loads of the things you are trying to avoid without you realizing.

It's only healthy to lose about 2-3pounds a week. Drink lots of water, cut out sugar, fatty foods, and exercise. I'm doing it right now too. So Good Luck!
