Hi there,
I'm preparing myself for IELTS exam .
For I don't have sufficient time to attend relevant classes , I study it alone. My problem is that i don't know how to learn and memorize new words. For learning Grammar, for instance,I've heard that writing would help us learn it better but how about new words? Is there any way to learn them fast and of course permanently ?
Thank you very much for your guide.

if you just want to memorize them, make flashcards! they save my butt on a daily basis. only try to memorize like 6 or 7 of them at one time and once youve got those down go to the next 6 or 7 cards. its amazing how well it works.

You might want to get yourself a Thesaurus.

With a thesaurus you can learn new words that are related to a word with a similar meaning.

Another way is to spend a lot of time somewhere where lots of people are talking (coffee shops and diners are good for this) and pick up new words by their context in the conversation.

If you have doubt check the dictionary, read the newspapers, listen to the radio or watch TV. that will help you learn the language.

everyday write five-ten sentences about anything, use adjectives from a dictionary or thesaurus then try to use the words throughout the day to describe things, sounds elementary but its an easier way
