Hi there,
I'm preparing myself for IELTS exam .
For I don't have sufficient time to attend relevant classes , I study it alone. My problem is that i don't know how to learn and memorize new words. For learning Grammar, for instance,I've heard that writing would help us learn it better but how about new words? Is there any way to learn them fast and of course permanently ?
Thank you very much for your guide.

Take a dictionary (pocket size) with you where ever you go and when you have a free minute then look up a word , study it and read definition, close your eyes and repeat the word and a short version of the word, open your eyes and read it again to see how well you did and repeat the process!

try turning the words into funny images from parts of the word

or make a phrase from the letters of the word like Glasgow

Granny
Likes
A
Small
Glass
Of
Whiskey

Or Learn

Lonely
Elves
Admire
Red
Noses

Funny phrases or something relevant to you will be easier to remember

Go onto Reader's Digest website and go to their vocabulary list. I believe it gives grammar, spelling, all kinds of stuff and the words range from easy to hard. Good luck.
