It wasn't cold at all, but she felt so cold that she kept trembling. What could be wrong?? I am so worried. Plz help!!

Many times, night chills (especially at your mom's age) are due to menopause. However, suggest to your mom that she sees a doctor just to be on the safe side.
Often what happens is that, due to a heat flash, she will perspire tremendously which is followed by evaporation leading to the chill. Other times, the chill is just that...a chill due to hormonal fluctuations.
It is best that your mom see a doctor though to be checked out and have her thyroid tested. Many times, thyroid issues develop in women in their late 40s and early 50s and a hypo-thyroid can also lead to chills and cold sensitivity. Seeing a doctor will determine what is causing your mom's night chills.
