Yes you can, sometimes it is hereditory and sets in late, other times it takes a while to develop. Everyone is different so it takes a while to come out.

According to my consultant a lot of people in their late twenties/early thirties are being diagnosed with milk and gluten allergies as they were given products containing these under six months old, when the gut is under developed and it has remained dormant as a problem until later in life, which is why health visitors now recommend that babies should not be given gluten or cows milk until they are over 6 months old.

Yes you can develop an allergy to something you previously tolerated. Sometimes something specific can trigger this off, for example it has been shown to occasionally occur after an attack of glandular fever (mono). Johns Hopkins scientists have found the evidence that even mild viral infections can help cause asthma and allergies.

Personally I have seen many patients who develop antibiotic allergies after repeated exposure.

yes you can, we can be born with some allergies but mostly we get allergic to this or that at some point in our lifes.
For example if you were never allergic to pollen and it starts to bother you-that means you just developed allergy to pollen that never bothered you before.Same with anything else. I just recently got allergic to lipbalm and had sunburn-like effect, it was terrible, using same kind for years!Good luck and I hope I answered your question.

I hope not. I would not want my allergies as a kid to come back. I was allergic to the red food coloring, it is in everything. I would break out from hives even with red cool aid.

Yes - I have known quite a few people this has happened to particularly an intolerance to wheat as well. Best thing to do is if you think you have a problem with food keep a food diary to pinpoint what is causing it or alternative your doctor can refer you for tests.

Allergies are often known to develop and disappear throughout time (note that an allergy to milk is different from lactose intolerance).

Yes. I became intolerant of eggs aged around 17, but this is not as bad as it used to be a few years on. Also I seem to be more intolerant of fatty foods than I used to be.
