Didn't Jesus free Christians from the Law?

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." Matthew 5:17-18

"We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Absolutely. They are the WORD of GOD in writing by his own actions!

Now the VERBAL laws of Moses are another story.

Yes they matter... Jesus died to save those that ask for forgiveness of their sins... not to give us the freedom to commit more
