Think of something made of copper, like a penny, that's a burnt auburn or perhaps a better example would be brown sugar, not the yellowy one but the darker one.

Color interpretation depends really on who you talk to, but Auburn is a medium reddish brown.

Auburn is beautiful it's my favorite natural color.
It's brown,light,med.,dark, w/h copper- red highlights.
