My pomeranian comes from a long line of show dogs. She has been SO easy to leash train and whenever she sees alot of people or gets a treat, she begins prancing and posturing like a little showdog (eventhough I've never specifically trained her).

Is this because of her blood line or just a pomeranian trait?

Cute! could be both. Did her breeder introduce the leash before you got her? Pom's are little cute prancy dogs, but some were just MADE for the show ring...sounds like you got one!

Absolutely, for generations show people looked at her ancestors and kept he ones with what we call "attitude." We love a dog that loves to show and has that special showmanship.Temperament runs in lines or families, very much like it does people.

i have owned poms....i had a mutt and a pom.....while trying to train my much larger mutt my pom learned all the tricks by watching that he got food for doing them.....when we went out she pranced around like she owned the place especially if some one told her she was cute.....in my opinion poms are just smart and showy dogs....i have known other people to say that about their poms too....they like attention and know how to get it
