"God has prepared for the righteous what no eye has seen and no ear has heard, nor has it occurred to the human heart... No soul knows what joy for the inhabitants of Paradise has been kept hidden"
So Paradise is so beautiful and so wonderful that we could not even begin to comprehend its wonders. :) May you one day meet your father there... if God so wills.

I recently had to write a paper on this. I won't claim to know the answer, but logically, heaven is a place such that you would want to go there. Basically: Heaven is what you think Heaven is like. It is either paradise, or a state of nirvana. Who can say? No one really.

Everybody has a very personal perception of what Heaven is like. You, just imagine a place where your father would be happy. Did he like the sea?? Then, Sea is the Heaven.
I personally believe that the best heaven for our beloved who have died, is our heart and mind where we keep them and treasure them with love. Your heart is the best heaven for your father.

Heaven is a place of activity, peace, joy, praise/worship, work and intense contentment. I suggest you watch to the DVD of Jesse Duplantis - A close encounter of the God kind. It describes his translation into heaven that lasted 5 hours. It is very detailed about what heaven is like. God bless.

Well the big argument here is whether you go to heaven or not, or if there even IS a heaven! Just because you lived a good life (in human standards), doesn't mean you'll go to heaven.

It is unlike anything ever experienced "here". I use quotation marks around the word "here", because heaven is not "somewhere else", but right where we are. Heaven is within, not a place, but the truth of us. It is our true state of being, as we create wonders with our Creator.

My first answer is "I don't know."
My second one is that Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is available to us right now.
It is a state of complete communion with God. Cares and worries pass away, and all is bliss. We have access to God's thoughts and his love and comfort are complete.
I would like to think your father, and my mother are experiencing this even more intensely.
