People always warn about putting large blankets or pillows in cribs. So what age is best to give a baby/toddler a flat pillow to use at night?

Because of SIDS, you're not supposed to let your baby sleep with pillows, stuffed animals, etc. until they are 1 year old. Really, your baby doesn't need a pillow to be comfortable like adults do and we didn't give our son one until he was in his toddler bed (since we got the set with a pillowcase) and even then, we only gave him a very thin one about an inch high, so we knew it wouldn't cover his face while he was sleeping.

I say about 11 months and if you want to wait until he/she is one yrs old even better. I got my daughter on a toddler bed and pillow when she turned one.

But really when you feel comfortable giving her a pillow that is the right time.

I genuinely have asked my acquaintances and kin this question, and have been given numerous diverse solutions. some reported a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, others reported 3 years. My son is eighteen months previous and clearly no longer interested in or waiting for one. He nevertheless sleeps in a crib and is particularly in each and every single place jointly as dozing -- he might under no circumstances have the means to maintain his head on a pillow! I think of as quickly as we circulate him to a huge-boy mattress, we will provide him one, yet even then i ask your self whether he will understand what to do with it!

Well my son died in his sleep because of a pillow. I would wait until your baby was able to ask for one at least, better safe than sorry
