They come around when they want to, not when you want them to. My boyfriend's grampa comes and checks on us pretty often, he stands in the doorway to our bedroom and then goes into the living room, and we've heard him clear his throat and light a cigarette. My cousins used to check on me when i was younger. And we both have past dogs that are around a lot.
