Jose Matus, Yaqui ceremonial leader and director of the human rights group Indigenous Alliance Without Borders, based in Tucson, pointed out that indigenous people who live along the border - from California to Texas - and others migrating for work from Central and South America are victims of the growing racism by members of the Minutemen and Border Guardians.

Matus compared the Border Guardians to the Ku Klux Klan. ''Border Guardians are like the Ku Klux Klan, only not as ambitious,'' Matus told ICT.

since 9 /11 there has been an increase of violence against immigrants of all kinds and group like the minute man provoke that violence ...

They might not exactly be racist, just ignorant, seeing as how there are a lot of Hispanics that are part of the minutemen...but they are a hateful clan and racism does go along with it. I don't see how they can still be protected by the law and they torture a lot of illegal aliens. They are sick and make me sick. If they would really like to help out the country, instead of being worthless citizens twiddling their thumbs looking for illegals, they should take something from them. Their will to work. Many people look at them as heroes, and I have no idea know how they can be looked in that form. I completely agree with practically everything you have stated and appreciate the information.

Can you actually PROVE that a Minuteman EVER caused harm to an illegal? Didn't think so, because its NEVER happened.

I can, however, show instances where illegals and their supporters have vandalized Minuteman vehicles and otherwise acted in a terroristic nature.

While I do know who know who Lanie Lawless is, mostly from what she's said on TV, I neither support nor defend her statements. Furthermore, it is also my understanding that Ms Lawless as never actually been a member of the Minutemen.

We are held to a high standard by the people of this great nation, and an even higher standard within our own ranks. ANY contact with these thugs illegally invading our borders is strictly prohibited per our SOP (Standard Operating Procedure, the rule book we follow to the LETTER). Failure to follow SOP at ANY time is cause for dismissal.

Tasty. i favor to marinade shrimp in garlic, pineapple and Balsamic French dressing for an hour. Then I stick them on skewers with bell pepper, tomato and mushrooms (you are able to marinade the mushrooms too). Throw them on the BBQ for a couple of minutes and also you've a good appetizer

Just because someone is trying to protect our nation's borders from illegal immigrants does not mean they're racist. If someone is illegally crossing the border it is illegal....duh. These newspaper companies are biased and don't report that maybe the reason why the minute men beat somebody up was because of self-defense or possibly the illegal immigrant wasn't complying or was armed. There's nothing racist about self-defense.

After reading an article on Yahoo news I want to join in on this one!!!! Border agents who are trying to do their job and who are ordered NOT to shoot anyone are being shot at, stoned, having molotov cocktails thrown at them and there isnt one damned thing they can do to defend themselves from the sorry azzes who are sneaking across the border with their drugs. Our government doesnt give one hoot in h*ll about them either. But by god I do and would join the Minute Men in a heart beat and WOULD shoot to kill!!!! I am getting fed up more and more each and every day with this crap. Those two border agents who are in prison should be set free and given a medal for what they did. I will say this and you mark my words, before too much longer there will be TROUBLE of which you have never seen. Most of us are smart enough to know that racism is a waste of time and if the Minutemen were to come out and say that they are, then there could be no denying, and they would lose alot of support from the community. I know that the reason they now have a background check for Minutemen members is because some members of hate groups initially aligned with the Minutemen and weren't wanted. From the language you use, 'original member' and not 'current member', I wonder if this guy may not be one of those.

As to any group called 'Indigenous Alliance Without Borders", I suspect they are biased. I note that NO mainstream press source has reported any violence by Minutemen, and I challenge you to find any such report.

As with any country, the USA has laws to protect our country from uncontrolled immigration . Which if freely aloud, would severely impact our economy and crime because without proper documentation ,foreigners would be able to come here, do whatever they want and be lost in ambitiousness, as is our current condition. Immigration laws are not a USA invention......every non- third world nation in the world have them.
Personally , I like Mexicans as a people and would welcome them , if they intend to live by the standards expected of all United States citizens.

How would you know if the MM is or isn't racist ? Obviously you are full of prejudice on this topic. I read two of the articles in detail and they state that a former member of a group that preceded the MM was inciting racial violence through another group BG, and that MM rejected violence.

Obviously you read what you wanted to see, not what was printed.
