I hear the violins playing in the back ground...

First of all... I am curious as to what is the weight of your family? Diabetes and heart conditions eh?
Secondly I have YET to see a foreigner getting government aid.
You people act like they (immigrants) are the only ones getting it which is ridicules! Note to whoever is about to post their rhetoric from some cheesy website with all these "facts" about illegals stealing from you. Save your time.

Why should I even continue posting because this will get deleted and you people will keep whining.

I feel your frustration. Im in a similar situation and mine has just begun. Souns like you are almost there. I am told by my attourney that its about 2 years and it will be done. Hang in there.
I use our local food bank to supplement and offset some of the costs incurred during the course of the week. Also, if you have an 18 year old living in the home, he/she needs to contribute financially to the family as well. As far as medical expenses go, I see a counselor for my depression and he recommended me for an assistance program and we qualified. Otherwise, I too would not have the medication I need to function day to day. Ask around. Counselors and such have alot of pull in these types of situations. I was considering suicide and when i told them this, it seemed to open alot of doors. I did not intend to use this as leverage at all. I was really surprised when doors started flying open around me. Im not saying that you should do this but if your down like I was/am, reach out.

Let's try to channel your anger a little bit--it is important for you to calm down so that we can get some help.

You're correct--I've seen the current "poster child" of illegal immigrants or other corporate-sponsored recipient get major attention when our own citizens are pushed aside as soon as we stop contributing as taxpayers. But don't give up--you are doing a great job as mainstay for your family and keeping everyone together will finally win out over all the obstacles.

Please ask everyone in your life, and go to at least one new source per week, for solutions for your situation.

Stay strong, and good luck!

Stop for a minute and use your head. Make it easy on yourself. Stop trying to get disabled and go somewhere as a foreigner.

Then you will get whatever you want and you wont be disabled.
