It is a mutual agreement to engage in sex. However, if a woman gets pregnant, it is her decision to have an abortion. Even if the man protests and wants to keep it. On the flip side, if the woman wants to keep the baby and the man doesn’t, he simply walks out. (Which I do not condone nor do I find it manly) The woman then sues the crap out of him for child support. Isn’t there something wrong with the pro-choice concept here? Women have all the choice when it comes to berthing a child but men don’t?
Can someone clear this up for me?

I hear a lot of “Because it’s HER body.” Which does make sense, but does that make the child more hers then it does his?

Oh yeah, and I am just curious about this. I am not in any situation where I got a female pregnant. So people can stop pointing fingers at me. Gosh!!!

because we live in a world where there is a double standard. females shall always receive the lesser punishment and the better deals.
I.E if a male teacher has sex with a female student, he is most likely sent to jail. if a female teacher has sex with a male student, she gets house arrest.
females shall always get the better part of the deal. if a child is living with the father and the mother is gone have you ever heard of the father going to court asking the mom to give child support?

i believe that a woman should decide what she wants to do with her body, but if it is very clear that the man is wanting to keep the baby, then a third party should be involved like a therapist and the couple should talk about it. it's too extreme to say it's my body and if i don't want it then i don't want it even if the man wants it. it's too much for a woman to really decide. that's not fair for the man. if a woman decides to have the baby then both parents should equally share responsibilities even if they are not together. if the mother decided she doesn't want the kid then she should pay child support to the dad and visa versa. i was put into a situation once where i got pregnant and i had been pregnant 2 times before from a man who physically abused me everyday causing me to have 2 ectopic pregnancies resulting in abortions. this new pregnancy was with a new many several years after the abusive relationship. we had discussed the baby, i wanted it he didn't, so he told his parents (he was 25 at the time) and his dad told him to tell me that i could have the baby and he would help me out when he could and his mother and step-father cut me a $400 check and said you're getting an abortion, put me in a car and drove me to the clinic. i was 3 weeks along. i have NEVER fully recovered from that situation. understand, abortions for ectopic pregnancy are necessary because it is a life or death situation for both baby and mom and people still badger me about how i am a murderer all the time. think about it, if i didn't have the surgery then neither I or the baby would be a live. the other thing is this whole 1st degree muder and taking of a life thing. people need to get their facts straight! a blastocyst is a cell not a baby. it cannot think, move, feel and breath on it's own therefore it is NOT a life. aborting a blastocyst is like having a cyst removed from your body. aborting a baby after it has yes developed arms, legs, eyes, nose mouth, nervous system, spinal chord, brain is then considered human and yes is wrong. those people who get abortions after the first trimester are wrong and should have done something before hand. plain and simple if the guy wants the baby and the girl is ready and in the clinic for an abortion, the guy can ask to speak to the clinician and tell him his side of the story. they will stop the procedure immediately. if both parties are present, the doctor will talk to both of them and get both stories, if they don't agree the clinic won't do the procedure. sorry this was so long, i'm just sick of people calling thos who get abortions murders when they aren't really even sure what the reason behind that person's decision. not everyone gets an abortion out of carelessness and lack of wanting to take responsibilities for their actions, sometimes it's life or death.

I have wondered about this myself. I can't clear it up for you though because there are a lot of contradictions in the way the men are treated. I've known a guy that got a girl pregnant and wanted the baby and she didn't . He told her he'd take the baby and she could just leave and he wouldn't hold it against her but she aborted it. Somehow that's never set well with me that she could abort a child that was wanted by it's father. But with the way laws are now I don't see how things will change to be fair to the man. I think this is a situation that clearly needs addressing.

I totally understand where you're coming from and I agree it's not far at all BUT because it's the woman's body she has the right to do whatever she wants. Even if the choice ruins the life of another. As long as females have the ability to have children they will use it against men. Harsh but true and I would like to apologize to all men done wrong by these select few. Unfortunately that's just the way it is.

I believe that no one should abort a child, unless it is for medical reasons that would threaten the mom 2 b life, or the unborn-- The two had sex the two should be legally/morally responsible.. If she doesn't want it, let the dad take it and she can pay..takes two... or give it up for adoption so ppl that can't get pregnant can experience the joy they thought they never could or would.

The man isn't growing another human being in their body and giving birth to it..
The moral resposiblity is on the man.. Don't bang a chick that you dont want to have a kid with.. Don't expect that she will want to have a kid with you even if you do want one.. It isn't your body that is at risk, it isn't your body that will stretch and distort.. It's hers, and it is her choice whether or not to keep the baby..
Abortion is a sad thing.. People who have them are not proud of it.. But it is a legal option in the US and I think it is needed.. There are WAY too many people in the US and in the world as it is.. I would much rather have a low income teen have an abortion rather than live off the system for the rest of her life..

That is true. And the reason a woman can sue for child support is because raising a child is expensive and both people had a part in making the child.

I'm seeing alot of this bullshit about "its her body" no its not its the child's body do you think if he/she was able to talk that it would say sure just go ahead and end my life now i don't really want to be a hassle for mom and dad who both knew what they were getting into when they had sex and damn so many people are on adoption waiting lists whats wrong with that if you don't want it just give it away you don't have to kill it......there should be laws to put this bullshit of killing innocent babies more organized..........SEMPER FI and OOH-RAH!!!

Woman are just better protected under the law. If we start up a group for equal rights for men we would most likely get shot.

Well - if the man carried the baby for 9 months - it'd be his decision.
I do agree with you - that anytime sex happens - babies happen. Both need to be 'ready' to accept that possibility.
Pregnancy is NOT easy - many life threatning things can happen during pregnancy - and delivery. Womack had my poor hubby scared that I was dying - that he was trying to figure out how to raise our kids by himself.
Until there is a way to have the male carry a baby- I wouldn't look for that law to change.
