It could just some irritants in the air, perhaps some kind of allergy. Talk to your vet and see if there may be some food suggestions, maybe something around the house. He may perscribe medications etc. Perhaps talk to him about holistic methods instead of medications.
If there is fluid coming from his nose - then yes take him to the vet. Make sure he's still eating, going to the bathroom reguarly - not constiapated or diarrhea, not vomiting, or lethargic.
Good Luck

First what kind of breed is he? Dogs with stubbed snouts are pron to nasal problems, and allergies such as Laso Alspo and Puggs. Also did you introduce anything new into your home; plants, other animals, a new carpet, have you cleaned your air filters in your home. If this is the first time your pet has been sneezing, it could be the sign of a respitory infection. I have three dogs, i learned with a lot of experience taking them to the vet.
Oh one more thing, someone else answered dogs dont get colds, they do. They have respitory system just like other animals. And bacteria can make them sick, and it can spread from one dog to another, it mostly is seen in store bought puppies.

Dogs don't get colds like we do. If its occaissional sneezing I would guess it to be allergies. If it's constant multiple sneezing, your pup may have a grass seed or something else in its nasal cavity which should be looked at by a vet.

dogs are affected the same as humans in alot of ways, with that said i have an idea. your right bout spring it has come out with a bang but the weather changes are a problem too. i know where i live its beginin to be a real problem for both our pets and us. the pollin n the air here is really bad, causin asthmatic people to have more attacts and bein normal is just as hard and yes, our dogs are breathin that too! sometimes my dogs go thru sneeze fest too. watch ur dog and try to determin if its a change from inside to outside, no tellin. it can also b a cold from all this hot to cold weather. in that case i can only say go to vet if it gets real bad. good luck

My minpin has major fits of sneezing. He also seems to have very very dry skin. When I took him in to his vet...he just took one look at him, heard what I had to say and told me "Its most likely just allergies." So I just give him a very small dosage of benadryl. The dosages though are different for each dog so you may want to take him/her in. I also have a boxer and over the summer he actually breaks out in hives. I also took him to his vet and was once again referred to just simply using benadryl.

Not a cold, could be allergies. Spring is coming and something may be bothering the little guy. Is there any coughing, running eyes and sneezing? That could be kennel cough.....
