I recently joined weight watchers and am alowed 27pts a day. Is it really important to eat the full 27pts a day? Also can some one explaine how the extra 35pts a week are used. I'm still very unclear on it. Thanks for all of your help.

I think it's most important to eat all your fruit and vegetable servings. Once you've done that, use the rest of your points for things you really like. That's the way that worked best for me, and it has the advantage of making you feel and be healthier as well.

The extra 35 points are bonus points you can use throughout the week. So if you get 27 per day, that would be 189 for the week, right? Add 35 to that, and that would be your weekly total. You can use the 35 all at once on a big splurge or you can use 5 extra points per day--whatever way you want to use them. You don't have to use them, and you'll lose weight faster if you don't, but it's just there to give you a little wiggle room. Good luck!

it is very important that you use your full 27 points a day or as close to it as you can get. As for the 35 extra points you can use them all at once for a night out or you can use extra points during the week breaking them up or you don't have to use them at all. I started weight watchers 6 weeks ago and I have lost 14 pounds.

Yes def eat all your points unless you are really not hungry then don't force yourself. Eating your points keeps your metabolism going and will actually let you lose more weight then not having them. As far as the extra 35 pts go - you can eat them, drink them, or not use them at all. They are extra points for say the weekend, to drink, go out to dinner, want something really high in points, etc. When I first began WW I didn't eat any of my extra pts b/c I thought I wouldn't lose weight but after awhile you realize that you can still have them all and lose weight.
