Could it be that the Muslims are telling us the truth when they say Bin Laden and his gang are heretics , not Muslims? I suspect it is true this really is the truth. I think 1.5 billion terrorists would be much worse than what we already see. Peace is a good idea and I believe the majority of Muslims would agree. What do people think?

Yes. Like most people in general, most Muslims are decent, law-abiding, hard-working people, just like us. Bin Laden and his cronies are part of a lunatic fringe representing a very tiny fraction of the Muslim population.

I have a hypothesis on why more Muslims don't condemn extremist Muslim group. I think they view al-Qaeda and other groups like them as a bunch of Mafia types. Many of them (I think) believe that if they try to speak out against Al-Qaeda, condemn their actions against their fellow man, then the terrorists might go after them or their families.

Most Muslims are not telling you the truth about Islam because most of them don't really know that much about the Koran. It's the same way with Christians. The Christians that do know a lot about the Bible are usually branded as intolerant bigots. Don't be deceived. The prophet Muhammed really did tell Muslims to make war with anyone that was not a Muslim. Bin Laden was extremely wealthy. It was easy for him to acquire the weapons necessary to punish the infidels. The problem Muslims have is that Bin Laden said he carried out the act because of Islam. It's really hard to think of any other religion that persuades you to kill another person.

I totally agree with you.
Muslims are still human beings. Therefore, there are some good muslims, intermediate and bad muslims.
Also as any living things, when deing opressed, some would rebel.
Futhermore, like other religions, there are many sects and understanding in Islam. Some of it take a more moderate, peaceful and tolerant approaches, while others may take a more dramatic ones. I believe most of them take the former, that's why there aren't as many terrorists as muslims.

One guy's terrorist is yet another guy's freedom fighter. There are terrorists international, have been for some years and that i'm specific would be for some destiny years. each time a central authority comes into ability it makes judgements that impact this is very own people besides as this is neighbours, by way of fact government's have armies and the "placed-upon" do no longer the valid line is they're battling terrorists. don't be too rapid to have self belief the click they are no longer on your area, and the fall out from the dissimilar arrests could be the shortcoming of yet another of our freedoms, taken by ability of our wonderful government interior the call of secure practices. i don't have a great style of sympathy for muslim communities interior the united kingdom, they seem to be a particular knit team who do no longer do plenty to help themselves seem to be patriotic voters, yet that would not cause them to terrorists or perhaps terrorist sympathisers. evaluate this... in case you have been making plans to explode a airplane could you inform you pals approximately your plans? So why could muslim's tell different muslim's? in my opinion i think of something unfavorable carried out interior the call of any faith merely is going to coach how dispicable all faith is. Make the united kingdom an completely secular state, no faith of any type allowed and the rustic could be a much greater desirable place. yet then i could argue the worldwide with out faith could no longer probable worse than the worldwide we live in immediately.

A question was put to hundreds of Muslims in a country with very, very large Muslim population (in vast majority, too) whether they knew a terrorist in person. The poll answer was they have not even heard of one , in their social circle. The terrorists remain to be name less face less persons. May be they are not Muslims. Let there be an open, civil trial of the prisoners in Guantanamo Jail in Cuba owned and operated by USA, so that the truth is known

Thank you. I keep saying this that not ALL muslims are terrorists. The vast majority of them just want a quiet life like the rest of us.

ooooo angry Monica...
anyways Hi there, yes, all muslims are peaceful... our religion commands us to be... though some, may go wrong (osama bin laden and his sorts).... Peace is the best idea and we all agree to it...
But, I wonder how long it would take the media to portray and accuse the entire muslim population (1.5 billion) to all be terrorists...

Peace...

I think that with the increase in the muslim population comes a hatred of the west. Watch that Dateline or whatever show about the Generation of Hate, and how they are teaching these kids to hate the West, and unfortunately these kids don't know any better. No, not all muslims are terrorists, just like not all Christians are in Cults or the KKK. Their hatred is there, whether they act on it or not is what makes them a terrorist.

Why does terrorism seem to thrive so well in Islamic countries then? It grows and can breed and often recruits "moderate" Muslims. But these terrorist often cannot survive outside of the Islamic world.

I see things as this: the "moderate Muslims" often agree with the radicals but stay silent in an attempt for Islam to seem a religion of peace to the West. So while they support the radicals, they themselves stay quiet.

Take a case in example. Remember how the highest ranked man in Australian Islam called women who dressed as westerners uncovered meat? Now this guy would be considered a typical, anti-Western, pro-radical Muslim by many. He was also the highest ranked Muslim in Australia. I ask you this - how did he get to that position of power? Logic says that for him to become that powerful, he must have a lot of followers who believe and agree with his views. And that is the truth!
