The Bible tells us to honor our parents, but it also tells us that is better to obey God than man. In a respectful way, let her know that you can no longer buy the cigarettes for her since the cigarettes is not only slowly killing her and detiriorating her body; and you don't want to be a part of that problem nor do you want to offend God by delivering the sin to her hands.

Though you are not responsible for her sin, you are making it easier for her to do it, making you an accomplice to her sin. You shouldn't give anyone anything that you know they will use in an unappropiate/bad manner or things that are just unappropiate/bad. But once again continue to should continue to honor your mother by telling her the truth in a respectable way and by actually helping her not smoke as much. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any Bible verses to attest to this. stemar805@yahoo.com

Hello, how are you? The Word says, "Let your light shine before men, that they will see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven." - (Matthew 5:16) Smoking cigarettes destroys the bodies that God gave us and therefore is an act of "darkness" or sin. With that being said, if you desire to help your mom, you must take your own personal stand, in Jesus' name, against the act of smoking. Pray for her and let her know that you do not want to contribute to her smoking cigarettes, thus, you don't want to buy them for her anymore. Communicate with her. God will strengthen you and your actions will help her before it's all said and done. Remember this: (Matthew 19:29) - "And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." This doesn't mean that you should leave your mother, it simply means that if our earthly family is not following the Lord we cannot let their actions cause us not to follow Him. God bless you in Jesus' name.

I say no because she is telling you to do it and if she is your mom pretty much you have to do what she say. But you can actually tell her that it makes you feel uncomfortable to buy her the cig and maybe you won't have to do it anymore.

You have the right to NOT contribute to it.
Example:
We are to follow man's laws as long as they do not conflict with God's.
