I am young, I am independent meaning I'm on my own and I work. I am very attractive and men do look at me. I have a very good head on my shoulders. So why am I single? Where are all of the non-thug, educated, black men at? Is this the wrong city for love or what?

Girl I have that same problem!!! I dont know! The problem is there is way too many few good men out there that are decent can respect and treat a woman right and can handle a smart, mature,,independent young woman.There are so few good men. Its a shame!

Check out www.meetup.com. It is a website of interest groups. I am sure you can find a club (not night club), group of people in which you share common interests. Join and start going to group meetings. This is a good way to meet new friends and potential dates of intelligent means. It has work for me here in NYC. I like wine tasting, Belly dancing, Eastern and classical music, even Walking and movies. There are groups in my area that participate in these things. I have met some nice guys through this. And they have become at least good friends if not more.

I host 8minuteDating events because it is really hard to meet good singles! I recommend you look for one of these speed dating events. There is also a web site called MeetUp where you can connect with like-minded folks. It's tough. Wait until you're my age! It's gets even harder!
