Oh give us a break! Witch hunt, you mean like the Gingrich led Congress did to the Clintons? Libby was found guilty by a jury of people containing all sorts not just Democrats. If he believed he was wrong he should not have done it. Cheney is the real culprit but Libby allowed himself to be Cheney's skape goat so he got what he deserved. He will probably be pardoned just hours or minutes before Bush leaves office, anyway. Libby will spend time in Club Fed where he can play tennis, keep up with his golf stroke and that sort of thing.
Since you are delusional about this whole thing I figure it is the latest clap trap on conservative hate radio and won't take it seriously.

I don't think I would consider it a leftist witch hunt. You are right that they are letting the guilty go free though. It seems pretty clear to everyone that he released the information on orders of the vice president. They should probably prosecute him. Essentially, the Republicans have decided to let Libby be their "fall guy". The Bush administration has said that they take the release of classified material very seriously. So, why blame liberals for President Bush's policy?

Well if that is a witch hunt, so was Bill Clinton's - which turned out to be true afterall, just like Libby.
The man clearly lied, EVERYBODY can see that - so what if he lied to protect Cheney or anybody else....he LIED....ever heard of fair?
Why can't people just be glad when ANY politician or member of their group finally get whats coming to all of them when they think they are above the law...democrat or republican?
The political system is rife with corruption and when we do make progress punishing people, members of the public scream "witch hunt".
I say investigate the whole lot and prosecute EVERYBODY who breaks the law, I don't care which side of the aisle they sit on.

Innocent?!! He lied through his teeth to protect Cheney who should be tried for treason. It is treason to reveal a CIA agent and Cheney should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. As for Libby, he knew what he was doing and now must pay for his crimes.

If you are suggesting we know that Cheney is the guilty party then you are right. But, this is the price that Libby will pay for protecting his evil overlord.

Here is a question in return:
Why did his so-called conservative allies sit back and let him be prosecuted for something they had a part in?
The conservative way is to commit crimes against the country and then use their "friends" to cover it up.
