ID is enough, you can also use passport
both countries are in EU, so no problems with passing the border

Your temporary resident card will not normally be enough. Take your passport. You will have no problems getting through, as it is between EU countries. However, Poland is not yet part of Schengen. Schengen is the agreement between many European countries (though not UK, Ireland, or most new EU members) which allows you to cross those borders without any border controls.

Since 1.05.2004 (when Poland joined EU) no visas are needed to cross polish-german border. There is only ID check like in every EU country.

Polish citizens can cross the border to Germany, but there is a border check. You have to produce your ID or passport to cross. No visas are required.
