The thing is one other person was elderly, around 80 years old, didn't eat much and an end piece. My mother lives with Lyme disease, therefore not all that great of an immune, and her boyfriend, relatively healthy person and immune, and me with what I know is a stronger than average immune, I definetely had the middle. The meat was definitely suspect as when it came out of the oven there was a fist sized-area that was completely raw, which was microwaved afterwards til brown. Theres a little more information, which kind of show that more of us should've been sick, but I was the only one stricken, Is it as odd as it sounds or is it as was said "The luck of the draw".

For sure yes... it can happen. Not everyone has the same metabolism. Not everyone is able to overcome infections in the same way. We all have different levels of health and we all can have allergies that others do not share. It is completely possible. Being undercooked, i think it is rather lucky more of you did not become ill. We cook food because it helps by heat to destroy bacteria. Undercooked food is very likely to breed up dangerous bacteria and can make people very ill... just because it may not look bad, or smell bad... it does not mean the bacteria have not been active in the meatloaf. Meatloaf is definitely a suspect meat in any case. The more cuts meat has, the more exposure to air, and therefore bacteria. Please be very careful. If the same meatloaf were eaten by an elderly, ill person or a child, you may have had very serious complications.

Kind regards,

Lisa

Different people have different tolerances.

Kind of the same situtation were one person will get motion sickness on a boat, while another won't.

Not everyone reacts the same, if at all, to bad or spoiled food.

Perhaps it was from the eggs in the meatloaf, if not the hamburger itself. Just remember to drink a lot of water so you won't get dehydrated.
I hope your illness goes away soon!

If only one of the four people who ate the meatloaf got sick, I'd guess the meatloaf wasn't the culprit. Is it possible something eaten earlier in the day could have made you sick?

it is possible...the other 3 people probably have a stronger immune system and depending on how much you ate...there are factors involved but yeah its possible

Sure because each body has its own unique chemistry. Some people just react differently to the same stimuli.

Yes, it's possible, like everyone else said. But it really is more likely that you are sick from something else.
