If what you said is true then you would have to explain Gabriel, the archangel of retrubution and violent death (among other things) who is in a sense gods hitman.
Not everything that is of light is nice and cuddly. The light sooths but it also, when there is need, burns

In the Bible Jesus makes reference to something that may lead to the conclusion that we have guardian angels.
Matthew 18:10- "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven."
Notice the use of the word "their" -aggeloi (their messangers, angels)
However, Jesus is the mediator between God & people for salvation & eternal connectedness to God (according to Jesus).

I do believe in them....I've seen/sensed angels for a long time and when I had my last knee surgery I even saw mine standing beside the bed.
