Personally I think they taste nasty, but I've seen them fairly cheap at Targét. You don't even have to buy them in bulk.
Why would anyone want them anyway? In America we get more than enough protein in our diet by accident.
I use regular PowerBars as fuel on long training rides and runs, but as far as I know, the extra protein is largely irrelevant.
