i could answer this but you honestly dont ever get over your first love because they were the first. they are always special to you. but the trick is moving on not getting over no one should get over their first love it is too special

Well with my ex we dated for 2 yrs and 4 months then broke up for a week lol. Then got back together for another 5 months and called it quits. After that we were on and off for a long time. All in all we dated for 5 yrs. He was my first love. I did try to date a bit but I never made it last with any one cause I wanted to be available for my ex. I took one last chance and asked him to go out with me on Valentines Day last year and he said he couldn't cause he would end up hurting me. That was it for me then. I was depressed for awhile and made a few mistakes but then started doing the on line dating. I was at first at a loss but then time payed off. I found the greatest guy who is my fiance now. We just had a son Feb.27th and I couldn't be happier. The moral to my story? Never give up on finding love. If you believe and keep the faith you will be happy and love again. I never really got over it. I did not get over it. I love her and I know nothing I can do will bring us together again. I move on there are other loves but there will all ways be a warm place for her in my heart and I hold the memories of her close to my heart. and I hope that some day she will want too talk too me again.
the only cure is time. and new love in your life.

it took me a very very long time...i'll tell you that. And i was heartbroken. we went out 4 a whole year. and he had his friend break us up over the phone. it hurt so bad and i was at my friends at the time. i still have scars in my heart 2 where i don't know if they wll ever heal. Its sort of like im scared to go back out with someone cuz i don't wanna deal with the pain. you know? well yeah it does hurt and i did wanna share my feelings to someone.

I still am not totally over my true love after 6 years, but I've accepted that we'll never be together. takes time, but it gets better. how much time depends on the person.

it takes time to get over your first love. for me, it seemed like it took forever, 6 months to be exact, because i always compared other guys to him. i had to realize that even tho i lost my love, he wasnt the one for me. so i started dating again and i stopped comparing other guys to him. just start by talking to other guys and build friendships, then when you're ready, start dating again. good luck :)

that never happened to me it takes 1 sec for me i dont care cuz im usually mad at that person..i just tell him to **** off im not ashamed at my self why would i be?=)
