I have a tooth grinding problem I have had all my life. I had to have my lower right molar in the back removed(not wisdom tooth). Now the one on the left has gotten really bad, its completely broken past the gum line all the way around. I'm really scared about the procedure to take it out. What will they do to remove the remaining tooth? I have horrible dental ins. and I don't want to trust just anyone. Is there such a thing as temporary dental ins? HELP I'm really nervous

No such thing as temporary dental insurance. The dentist may be able to pull out the tooth using a special pliers that can hold on to the tooth below the gum line. If not they may need to make small incisions to get a better grip on the tooth. If nervous see an oral surgeon. They specialize in extractions. You can take nitrous gas to help you relax.

If you are extremely nervous then they can give you a sedative to calm you, or do the procedure under a GA, you said that you have already had one tooth removed so you have done well, they will numb your mouth and most likely make a small incision to remove the roots, you'll be fine

as a help to your grinding problem...if it's during the night, by a mouth guard. you don't need the expensive brand name night guards, but just a sports one. you can usually get them for about a 1 or so at a sporting good store. it's just something to keep your top and bottom teeth separated during the night.
