You would have to find out about the law first.

Ring the dept of health, but do not draw attention to yourself as you may find yourself out of work.

Some work places will cater to the smokers, normally create smoking zones.

In my last work place, a large railway workshop we were the opposite where you could smoke almost everywhere.

Exclusions were 2 smoko rooms, most of the offices and the office company cars (largely ignored)

BTW Congratulations

Wow, that really sucks. It seems like if the county passed a smoking ban it would apply to office buildings as well, but maybe not. I feel bad for you. I can't stand cigarette smoke!

It is against the law to smoke in the workplace. The reason they get away with it is because no one has turned them in or brought it up with corporate.

If you choose to do something about it, it will stop, believe me. They won't risk a lawsuit from harming either you or your unborn child.

Do you work for R.J. Reynolds? Are you employed at a tobacconist's shop? These are the only possible places that I can believe might allow on-premises smoking in this day and age...

Could check with your local board of health. Just ask the question - no need to say the company's name.

I'm surprised they would allow this in any case..
