a humorous one, which would convey to others that I do have a sense of humor.
Some people think buddhists take life so seriously and have no fun. My wife, and two children and I are Buddhists, who are humorous, and have a great deal of fun in life
yet really enjoy helping others in any way we
can.

Can some please explain to me in detail how to do this.

Thank You,

With Metta {loving-kindness and friendship).

Just pick a smile... or the laughing one, or "decorate" your avatar in whatever way you choose. I picked mine to reflect my appearance and the lack of smile just because I'm kind-of middle-minded about things... I see humor in life but I'm not attached to it I guess. I'm Tibetan Buddhist btw, welcome. Also there's plenty of room in here for enjoying the humor... there are lots of people who help to keep things light and fun in here (at least from my perspective).

Much metta to you, and yours, as well.

Look for something that you like. You can go to photobucket and type in the name of say a funny cartoon character or a comedian or something goofy that can be found as funny.
