Go to the store and buy some candy cigs or those fake cigs... (available at most drug stores...) Alot of people smoke because it is an oral fixation... Keep eating those blow pop suckers if it helps you... Get a couple bags of them... or get some gum that helps too... the best thing is to keep yourself busy constantly! Play video games, cook, clean, go garden, go outside, or/and take a walk... You can do it if you put your mind to it... It's all mental... I know that doesn't justify it but you'll think of things if you really want to quit... Lastly but not least GOOD LUCK!!! (oh another way is to get Ultra lights but smoke one of those only when you really really need it... those are so disgusting that you'll just want to quit right there..)

Congratulations and you can do it! The first thing is to think that the first three days are the hardest and you can quit. You are 2/3 of the way through it already.I am wondering if taking off the patch might be better cause in a way it prolongs the addiction. I had tried them and had less success with them but if they are helping then you decide what is right for you.
I suggest you drink plenty of water to flush out the impurities as this will help . Other then that find hobbies to do that will take your mind off it. If that does not work then think how much a pack of cigarettes costs. Now multiply what you smoke for the whole year and think of that nice item you have been wanting that you will be able to buy instead. You can do it. You know you can.

Maybe you need two patches at first.

I quit smoking at least a thousand times, and then one time it worked. There weren't any patches in those days. After two weeks the cravings stopped. I haven't had a cigarette in 31 years. I have no more desire to smoke a cigarette than to stick it in my ear.

It's tough quiting, but hang in there it will be the best thing you ever did. It takes a commitment to yourself that works not no stupid patch. Try jogging, as then you don't want to smoke, and its good exercise.

Take slow deep breaths. It mimics the act of smoking so may calm you down. The other thing I did that helped was go for a lot of walks. If you are in better shape - you could go jogging.

Gum usually works, from what I've heard. Try finding something else (mouth-wise) that you'd do as often as you'd smoke cigarettes. Chew gum, chew on a straw, even suck a pacifier.
