I'm not sure if I'm pregnant, I have a 20month old and the other day i squezed my nipple and milk came out and this is the first time this has happened sence I had my baby. Can you produce milk without being pregnate, or is there a chance I can be pregnate. I also been off the shot for two months.

when pregnant, you start producing Colostrum early on. By 12-14 weeks of pregnancy, some women find that their breasts are leaking a fluid. this is normal. some experiance it, some women never do.

if you did breast feed your baby, it is a possiblity that you are relactating. you are off the shot now and your hormones are still balancing out so that could be a the cause of your leak

I'm sure you just have some milk left if you had breast fed...my youngest is 16months and I breastfed her for a little over a year and right now ever now and then I just have a little bit of leaking or if my nipple is squeezed...or you know any kind of contact with nipples (like during intimacy with my husband) then I leak.

If you're pregnant again, usually you'll start to have a bit of colstrum leaking out from as early as 4-5 months into the pregnancy (I've also experienced this too). Not all women leak during pregnancy though...so it'd be a good idea to go check with a doctor to make sure if you are pregnant.

If you breastfed your baby for the recommended one year, its possible you still have some leftover milk. I have a friend with a 2 1/2 year old (who was weaned at 9 months) who still makes some milk. Its not likely you'd start producing anything unless you were at least 4 months pregnant, and you'd probably know if you were that far along!

Either way, talk to your doctor. It could be a sign of infection.

You could be pregnant. However, you didn't state whether you had breastfed your 20 month old baby or not. If you have then you are probably still producing some milk.

If you aren't sure you are pregnant then go to the store and buy a home pregnancy test kit.

Im about 34 weeks pregnant and I started lactating at about 25 weeks and alot of people said that was early. But you could still have milk left over from your 20 month old. I know women at my church who still leaked after a couple of years after they winged their kids.. You should probably take a pregnancy test to be sure. Good Luck!

There is a chance you could be pregnant if you have been off of the shot. I have never heard of lactation as an early sign on pregnancy.

expensive i produced milk for years after my daughter became born. so this isn't signal that you're pregnant. it truly is hormonal adjustment. it may take months to years for hormones to get suitable after the beginning of an adolescent for some women individuals.
