Christians commit child abuse. (priest's touch up kids and the Pope is directly involved in the Catholic Church's paedophile cover-up) sick isn't it?

They do lots of things. Not abusing children would be a one place to start. lol
I see in your question a mindset that is interesting.
1) You use the word 'Christian's' as if it's a great big organization that moves as one body.
2) You think that Child Abuse in all forms can be stopped. As if the world moved as one body and only needs to be directed a certain way.
Perhaps you are generalizing a bit much.
One way that I know of that syops child abuse is to stop putting your kids at risk. That is; stop putting them in situations where they could be abducted, or exposed to people who might be that way.
And then a lot of people give Christians flack for monitoring what they watch on TV and what they do on the internet.
I wonder if that isn't coming back on non Christian society now!

Pray.
Personally I don't think child abuse will ever stop. There all kinds of groups active in trying to stop something.
How can we actually stop child abuse? We can't...we can't monitor households with children. There is law against it, but there are LOTS of laws and they remain being broken by someone-somewhere.
Chile abuse won't until Christ comes back for his bride.

I had a class on how to recognize child abuse, when I was teaching. I didn't have any kids like that in my classes though, but I do know what to watch for. And would have reported it to the Pastors if I had.

Very little. The ultimate child abuse is abortion. Anyone who believes that abortion is OK, had better keep quiet on the subject of child abuse.

Christians preach the gospel of the crucifixion of Christ, by which people can be saved by faith. In gratitude for Christ's sacrifice, those who have faith commit their lives to Christ in every aspect, which means that they behave with proper love in terms of their money, time, and personal relationships. So Christians help to prevent child abuse by example, and through the gospel.

raising awareness, counseling victims and families, fundraising for programs, political action commitees, teaching the biblical model of the family: "husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church and died for it....Do not provoke your children to wrath." However, Christians fight child abuse through positive activities rather than negative ones. They teach principles instead of seeking people to accuse.
