I drive a ford focus estate 1.8 ghia and have never had any problems with it and I've had it for about 3 years now. The only thing i found was that the insurance was quite high for younger drivers but other than that it's a good car. Have only had to get new tyres and never had any other work done. hope this helps.

I drive a Ford Escape and I've never had any problems with a Ford but I worked with a girl who had a focus and that car was always in the shop for something. I can't even remember now what all she had to fix but I can remember that she replaced the fuel pump, alternator and then she had a problem where all her dashboard lights would go on and off. She may have had a lemon but I'd still be leary...

the most objective is a real notch small vehicle that makes those crap imports look stupid. you purchase Ford autos and stay remote from the imports. in the journey that they dont like Ford autos, then that only tells you the jap sales approaches have brainwashed them it truly is what they wanted. the most objective has gained all kinds of awards jointly with perfect vehicle for the money. procuring an import is like procuring something on the dollar save. The kit continuously seems reliable, yet after a week the low priced crap falls to products. a thanks to fix it ? Dont keep on the dollar save. flow ask the individuals in maintinence and repaire lower than Honda and Toyota why they are having such truly some problems with their great crappers, fantastically the more moderen ones. The smart decision....... purchase Ford. The uneducated decision in line with rumour....... Imports flow try stress the Honda, Toyota, then the Ford. The data will talk for themselves, and that i assure you'll stress away contained in the most objective.

Just bought a secondhand 1.8 diesel with 40k on the clock (3-1/2 years old) and it goes very well so far. I bought it after checking out other users, all of whom suggested it would be very reliable and pretty good for economy.

The fuel guage goes wonky. It'll light up top say you're low and when you get a top up the guage still shows empty for ages.

I drove a 1.6 over 100,000 miles over 3 years and in general they're very reliable cars
