Before anyone starts getting "out of control" about mix breeding!!!
I do know the papastzu is a mix between a Shih Tzu & Papillon.
I know alot of people do not support this new trend of mix breeding, and I am well aware of the negative feedback concerning this subject...so if that is your answer to my question please do not respond!! I am looking for any pics someone might know where to find of the papastzu breed.
I have a Shih Tzu and my mom has a Papillon. They have been best friends since birth and are a year old. We breed them...or basically "they breed" ..and I can not find any pics of this breed. Any info is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks.

When searching the web I did find that the mix between the Shih Tzu & Papillon was called Papastzu. I know different people call mix breeds a variety of names.
Including "mut" for the people who hate mix breeding.

PLEASE!!!! walk through the local pound and see all the unwanted animals in there!! I have pure bred dogs and they are fixed!!! (both the same breed and AKC REG) Be responsible!! All you are doing is making more mix breed dogs!! there are tons of them already!! Look on the web for unwanted dogs!!! look in the pound, shelters, look at adoption agencys!!! please stop the breeding!!!

Mixed breeding has been going on for years it is nothing new no matter what people try and say!!

Heck

Lab/chows
Poodle/pom
Shep/lad

It is all the same!!! Quit making more unwanted dogs!!! If you want a mixed breed ther are millions looking for home already!!!!

First they are a MIX NOT a breed..It makes no difference at all that the parents are AKC registered the pups are mixes nothing more. Also breeding any dog under the age of 2 years is a very bad idea. Dogs are not physically or mentally mature enough to be bred.Doing so can lead to some very serious complications in the future.
Also no dog should be bred before it has had and passed genetic health testing (not simple vet exams)
Breeding dogs under 2, before health testing and delibrately breeding mixes is irresponsible breeding.

Well, the *new* breeds have been bred and designed by breeders who have spent lots of time *developing*... the breed is NOT acquired by *your* backyard breeding program... So for you to do a *mix* then it will be just that... a *mix*... no big bucks for you today... sorry hon

sooooooo........whatever!! To your weird comment!!

MY RESPONSE

What I meant was.. The breed was developed thru experts in genetics.. then after they could produce a breed that would be consistent when breeding *2* like kind = in otherwords the puppies would all look alike.. not a hit or miss... At that time a new breed came into being......
To just take one dog of each breed that was used in their program of *development* is considered a back yard breeding and will not be recognized as a Papastzu...
Get it now ??
your puppies would NOT be papastzu.. they would be considered a mixed breed.

I have a male papillon, 2 years old, and he's got the most unbelievably happy personality. I would imagine any cross with that would be wonderful, especially with kids--paps are notoriously delicate, shitzu's a bit hardier. Great combo! Don't listen to the snobs, and enjoy your little family. I'd love to take one, seriously my 8 y/o pom just left us and I'm ready to start again. Let me know!

No matter what you call them, they are a mix, not a breed.
