Well, you don't have to wear the clothes of a line you sell (unless it's a company policy or something), but it's probably poor judgement to wear clothes from a competing line you don't stock - you would look like you're endorsing the competition, which probably wouldn't inspire your customers or comfort your supervisors.

I work at a bike shop too... they sell Giant and Trek mostly but i'm a big specialized and ellsworth fan. Also, the forks are mostly from manitou and fox but yet i'm a big marzocchi fan. I try not to wear anything from specialized or marzocchi while at work but hey, sometimes I just don't have shirts. I feel you.

Great, I'll be thinking about that song all night. As for your question, I've never done that, but I have ridden a unicycle with a cowboy hat and chaps on while singing Janie's Got a Gun. No one evah wants my autograph.

If available, you should wear shirts with the shop name on them. If not, wear jerseys that don't have brand names on them. I used to wear my old Tour DuPont jerseys when I worked but they started to get messed up when I worked on the bikes.

Not a good idea. And if you work in that shop, why did'nt you buy a Trek ? If they're good enough for Lance...
