I think this man has let boxing down badly in showing no remorse for the guy in the car accident, I thought he was a good boxer till Barrera moved up a weight to make Hamed look amateur, Hamed quoted he was in the best shape of his life for that fight, WHat you think

Hamed was above average fighter, he fought a lot of guys who were reputable but either made them looked washed out or they were washed out, i liked his style and cockyness but a older Barrera (who yes, did move up to fight him) was too goo for him and made Hamed look amateur and washed up despite Hamed saying he was in the prime of his life,
He adventures outside of the ring unfortunately bring opinion into the ring, he's a bit immature and filfthy rich and when he got out of jail he got all his posse to turn up in mercs and bmws and they all reved their engines, totally disrecspectful, As for winning another world title for him is not possible,

Naz was overrated. Who did he fight beside Barrera? No one except fighters who were already shot or past their prime. Hatton is the same way. I don't want to hear that he beat Tszyu. Kostya was three years past his prime when he fought Hatton. I will say this since Hatton got rid of Frankie (don King of England) Warren he is fighting and has beaten better competition in the States. Naz fought one fight after Barrera took him to school. But since then you haven't heard from Naz. Naz knows deep down that he couldn't step up against top flight competition after the beatdown by Barrera. Naz had some skill but got exposed for the fighter he really is, just like Iron Mike.

Donal-Dorie ~
You're biased when it comes to British boxers and that's okay, but you shouldn't let it cloud your judgment when it comes to the actual ability of boxers. It has been proven that "Naz" was doing great fighting hand picked opponents that were out of their primes (Kevin Kelly) and fighters who had no business in there with "Naz" to begin with.

"Naz" along with Ricky and Joe are all products of Frank Warren and Frank really does know how to sell a product. These fighter are considered great by English standards which is fine there, but when they cross the pond and fight in the World theater of Boxing the United States they have shown, aside from Joe he hasn't fought her yet, that they are just average boxers that can be found in any gym in America. I'm not being hard on "Naz" or Ricky or even Joe, I like them they are exciting fighters but they are truly out of their leauges against the competition on the world market.

Ricky has looked below average at best in his past two fights in the States and you wrote what happened to "Naz" when he fought a close to in his prime fighter, the results were devestating to his career and Joe, Joe looked awful in his last fight now he's going to fight against Americas next great fighter Peter Manfredo (joke)

It is tragic what "Naz" has done outside of the ring and who are we to judge. The one thing that he does have in common with great fighters is, he's not above screwing up.

Thanks for the question Donal_Dorie.

I think you cant put Hamed on the same pedestal he was on before. He was definitely not overrated in the day, if you have ever watched him dissect fighters you would know that. his skills are definitely not as sharp as the once were however, and he looks like he got stung by 300 bees in the face. I look forward to seeing him fight.

Prince Naseem was one of the best boxers back in the day, but now he looks a bit like a doughnut. I don't think it is fair what is said about him, the guy in the car accident said he wanted him to go to jail because he was a celebrity. If it was me or you in that accident obviously you'd feel differently.

the "prince" is a primadonna.... barrera is a warrior and the prince showed no heart in the fight unfortunately... his skill and chin were lacking... just look at his fight with kevin kelley... i mean kevin kelley knocked him down several times...
hatton is the same way... he will be destroyed in his next fight and then we won;t have to hear from the hit man ever again... if you are being punked by eamonn magee in your own ring, in your own city, with your own ref, then you are a girly pansy.. the prince and the hit man...

The Prince was not a over rated fighter , I actually believe he was highly skilled and knew how to annoy his fellow boxers with taunts and no guard stances. i hop ehe returns to shape and fights again so we can see him fight again and see if he is for real.

you are right! he is an over-rated fighter who will soon see the downside of his career! problem is ,this division is weak!to tell the truth, i miss the old days of suger ray leonard, marvin hagler, tommy hearns, and boom boom mancini! now those were great fighters! and entertaining too!
