I understand adding to water is not a great idea?? Apparently disintegrates fast and promotes bacteria growth. how should i give it to them? they are taking seed diet and lots of coriander and wheat grass. have tried veges and fruits but they keep rejecting them.

Yes, add to the seed cup. Don't let them sit in there for more than a day, vitamins oxidize and loose potency with prolonged exposure to air.

Please don't "shake and bake" as one suggested. Many vitamins are heat sensitive and breakdown.
:-p

Only give the budgies vitamins approved by your vet. With a well rounded diet they may not need them. But ...
Sounds like they don't recognize fruits and vegs as food. I had a canary refuse everything but seed and endive, and he'd NEVER take a bath. Beautiful singer, looked like hell, but seemed happy and lived to be 9yo.

You can actually add the drops to the seed cup. What you do is add half the seeds of what you would normally put in the seed cup and add the drops. If that doesn't work buy a "treat" and add the vitamin drops to that. Also if you buy millet sprays add some vitamin drops to that and the budgie will get the vitamin in it's system that way. It's worked for me. Good luck.

Often people put the drops in the water or on the seed.

My little lutino parakeet Charlie; I use a syringe (without the needle(. If I get 1/2 a drop of vitamins in water; he swallows it.

She is a very sweet budgie. I also have a canary, and I place the drops in the water.

adding into water is the best way providing u change the water regularly before any bacteria develop. in my opinion give ur birds vitamins in natural ways, feed them a mix of different seeds along with some vegetables and fruits even if they dont like to eat, seeing fresh fruit in their cage may entice them to inspect and taste oneday.

I think you can try putting it in a bag with some dry food and shaking it, like shake and bake, to coat the dry foods.
