Actually, it is not good for you at all. Exercise, especially ab work, is best done on an empty stomach*. That's why exercising first thing in the morning is so highly recommended.

*you should stay hydrated, however.

Probably a bad idea. If you do deadlifts or squats or powercleans on a full stomach you will most certainly puke. Wait like 2 hours before working out. If you are doing cardio, you will also likely puke, and you will probably burn minimal fat calories.

Your body needs energy to digest food.
Your body only has so much energy.
When you work out, all of your energy goes to working out
So, the food doesn't get digested.
Then you get sick... verrrry sick.

In a nutshell, it's a bad idea.

oh no! that has got bad news bears written all over it! i did that before and got cramps in my side from HELL!!! plus an unsettling nauseous feeling...
