Staffordshire Bull Terriers like my picture. They are known as the Nanny Dog in England. They were used as bull baiters, rat killers and pit fighters long ago. They are rank about 95 on the AKC list of breed popularity, in england however they are like #5! A lot of people mistake my Staffy for a "baby pit" But they are not. The size is about 30 lbs in my female and up to 38 in males. They satisfy the need for a small dog, and a need for a somewhat macho image incase you are opposed to foo foo dogs. Good luck. Bull Terriers. They are very unusual looking and unique. They look so strong and muscular, and they are very sweet dogs. They are considered a medium sized dog as well. They are rather expensive though. On the AKC website there is a search for puppy classifieds. Check it out.

Bulldogs (English) are considered a medium sized breed and I do not think that you can get a more muscular dog. If you want something a little smaller than that I would go with a French Bulldog.

Boxers are large muscular dogs, and Australian cattle dogs are mid-sized, stocky dogs. Bulldogs are mid-sized and are so bulky that they can't even swim.

It's really best not to get a dog for appearances, since lots of people, particularly young people, get muscular dogs just as a status symbol. I recommend going to your local animal shelter and finding a mid-sized dog in there with a good personality that matches your lifestyle.

i think your baiting people into getting really nasty with you, on the fact that you are purposely miss-spelling alot of your words. "Rockwielers" are not mid sized they are large as are "Bitbulls" anyway your asking about Mid-Size strong dogs, or mid size aggressive breeds? Depends on what you mean by strong, I suppose you could go with a "Ploxer" or an "Old English Pulldog" maybe a "Stadfordshire Plerrier" try those out for size.

How about a german shepherd as you can train them to do anything. With a shepherd you will want to look at genetics to get a muscular one. My new little guy should be a power house as both parents are... czech border patrol lines

My 2nd choice for pure muscle would be an Akita... wow talk about muscles and strength.

Look at a staffordshire bull terrier. It's smaller than the American Staffordshire or the Rottweiler. They are typically about 40 lbs when full grown. They have great personalities and are generally less aggressive than the american staffordshire, AKA the pit bull.

Check out an Australian cattle dog, aka blueheeler. They're busy, and extremely smart. A bit high maintenence though.

Pointers, Vizslas, and Weimaraners are about 50 pounds and are lean (not bulky, like a Rottweiler) and muscular.
