The problem is - man is the one who changed it and God is the only one that can make that decision. There is no where in the Bible where he even hints to changing the 7th day Sabbath. As far as worshiping the 1st day honoring Jesus rising, it states in the Bible he rested on the Sabbath and rose on the 1st day of the week. Not that he honored the 1st day of the because he rose then. Man can manipulate anything to fit their schedule and/or agenda, that doesn't make it Gods law. The people that talk about the OT law, if that is so where does it tell us in the NT to disregard the OT and the Ten Commandments they are in the OT?

The Church. The Body of Christ, of whom Jesus Christ is the Head and all Baptized Persons are the Members...and who is filled with the Holy Spirit, both at he first Pentecost and whenever she meets in ecumenical Council.
Also - see these Scriptures:
Isaiah 1:13 - God begins to reveal His displeasure with the Sabbath.
Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; John 20:1,19- the Gospel writers purposely reveal Jesus' resurrection and appearances were on Sunday. This is because Sunday had now become the most important day in the life of the Church.
Acts 20:7 - this text shows the apostolic tradition of gathering together to celebrate the Eucharist on Sunday, the "first day of the week." Luke documents the principle worship was on Sunday because this was one of the departures from the Jewish form of worship.
1 Cor. 16:2 - Paul instructs the Corinthians to make contributions to the churches "on the first day of the week," which is Sunday. This is because the primary day of Christian worship is Sunday.
Col. 2:16-17 - Paul teaches that the Sabbath was only a shadow of what was fulfilled in Christ, and says "let no one pass judgment any more over a Sabbath."
2 Thess. 2:15 - we are to hold fast to apostolic tradition, whether it is oral or written. The 2,000 year-old tradition of the Church is that the apostles changed the Sabbath day of worship from Saturday to Sunday.
Heb. 4:8-9 - regarding the day of rest, if Joshua had given rest, God would not later speak of "another day," which is Sunday, the new Sabbath. Sunday is the first day of the week and the first day of the new creation brought about by our Lord's resurrection, which was on Sunday.
Heb. 7:12 - when there is a change in the priesthood, there is a change in the law as well. Because we have a new Priest and a new sacrifice, we also have a new day of worship, which is Sunday.
Rev 1:10 - John specifically points out that he witnesses the heavenly Eucharistic liturgy on Sunday, the Lord's day, the new day of rest in Christ.
Matt. 16:19; 18:18 - whatever the Church binds on earth is bound in heaven. Since the resurrection, Mass has been principally celebrated on Sunday.

The Sabbath is Saturday, and always will be. Sunday is and always was the day of worship for the Christians. People always seem to think that someone "changed" the Sabbath and that is not true. Do not confuse the two-they are different days for two different reasons.
Christians are not Jews, never have been, and never will be. Nor were the Christians ever part of, or under the law.

time is mans creation. We created the calender. For all all of us be responsive to, purely dealing with the earths rotation God became the lights on at 5am on a tuesday making monday the sabbath. I continuously figured SUNday replaced into the day the solar got here to be yet we gained't ever be responsive to. God didnt create the calender or the clock, ever observe those greater advantageous hours we overlook approximately each and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days? In a manner everytime we rejoice a bounce 3 hundred and sixty 5 days we push the sabbath back that day we upload on. i think of we could continuously decide on Saturdays. It feels so incorrect to artwork on a Saturday. Offhandedly, be responsive to how a lot of human beings go living house after church on a Sunday and do yardWORK. not too a lot of human beings certainly repsect the sabbath.

Ok, class, repeat after me:
We are saved by God's grace alone, not by following the Mosaic Law.
When the New Covenant came, the old passed away in order to bring a more perfect Law. Our Messiah fulfilled the Law and brought the Truth.
As such, we are FREE FROM THE LAW, including the Fourth Commandment.
Jesus is the "Lord of the Sabbath," and we are to worship Him at all times, not just on a specific day like Saturday.

In the Latin Countries, which are predominately Catholic, they have the beginning of the week on a Monday.
But, hey....... don't get caught up in this. God wants us to work 6 days and rest on the 7th. If your work schedule has you working all weekend, and your days off are Tuesday and Wednesday, then consider Wednesday your Sabbath.
The Sabbath was created for man, not man for the Sabbath. Your day of rest can be any day of the week. The Pastor of my church takes Mondays to be his Sabbath.
God knows we need our rest, and the animals need rest. It's God's way of telling us to take one day of the week, and rest, don't do anything that you would consider work.
Rest? If you find that playing or watching a baseball game a good way of relaxing, then go for it!
As far as keeping the Sabbath holy. That is OT law. God intends for us to keep every day holy. I worship and study and serve Him every day of the week.

The Sabbath was moved to Sunday by Christians as a honor and remembrance to the day Christ rose for the tomb.

According to tradition, Jesus rose on Sunday. Thus the observance became less the Sabbath and more of Ascension.

Dear Essdot,
Thumbs UP! to Suzanne for her excellent answer!
I would like to add that I do not spend time thinking about how Sunday came to be observed as the day Christians go to church.
But since you want to make a mountain out of a relatively minor thing my gut feeling is that since the tomb was found to be EMPTY on Sunday morning that is the day that I want to celebrate. I don't want to sit around twiddling my thumbs until the following Saturday.

Who told you that Sunday was the first day of the week. Muslim have Friday Sabbath, Jews Saturday. What difference does it make? The name of the day matters not. Just keeping every 7th day holy is the requirement.
