He has been in exile since 1959. And over the last 48 years the commies have kept their firm grip on Tibet. Not to mention slowly eradicating Buddhism as a religion in Tibet. Today Tibetan chairman Champa Phuntsok said, "Forty-eight years has passed since then, and in that time the Dalai Lama has done nothing beneficial for the Tibetan people and his motherland." Nothing but not be a puppet for a hostile and unwanted regime. Not to mention spreading global awareness of what goes on in Tibet, as well as the Buddhist way of life. The commies really don't have a leg to stand on with their human rights record. Going against such a peaceful, and pleasant man that so many around the world adore. I hope that he will have the chance to return but sadly I don't think it will happen.

Sadly, the world governments have ignored the plight of TIBET for over 5 decades now. I would hope that the problem would be sorted by now, but i suspect it never will.
Buddhism is a tradition that focuses on personal spiritual development. Buddhists strive for a deep insight into the true nature of life and do not worship gods or deities.

If he chooses another rebirth, then yes, he will. The whole thing you have to understand is that Buddhism is about patience and understanding that such things happen, and often good things can come from what people usually view as "bad".

There are many ways to help out financially, volunteering, or just being yourself in your own religion/philosophy and learning patience, wisdom and altruism... doing any of these helps further His Holiness' cause. There are lots of online resources to show you how to contribute if you wish, you only need take a peek.
