The USDA says that they have to have less than .02% rat droppings. Really...look it up.

The stories are true! Chicken & beef butt****s, lips, etc. But the "best" part is the rat & mice hair & droppings. It's a fact. An interesting thought too---just how would rat/mice hair get in there without the actual rat & mouse? (They don't!) For the record, I don't eat hotdogs anymore.

They are made of organ meat (heart, lung, liver, etc) what little meat is on the face, tongue, scraps left over from cutting up other parts of the animals. There are no floor sweepings and stuff like that like you may have heard, just parts you might not otherwise think about eating.

Anything and everything left on the cutting room floor. Beef hot dogs? Yeah, the lips and butthole of the cow are beef also, you know.

Yep, thats why I buy kosher hot dogs. They're beef only. There's an old German saying: "If you like sausage, don't watch it being made."

If it does not say 100% beef, then I have always heard they are made of chicken lips and *%@holes. LOL. Seriously they are made of extra chicken parts.
