If you have income and the bills in your name or joint in both names aren't so high that it affects your ability to pay for a car, there should be no problem. You don't need a husband to buy a car....(or lots of other things).

Well when you go in for the auto loan and they run a credit check it will be the combination of both your's AND your husbands. But as long as you don't list him on the cars title when you buy it he will have no claim to it. But due to your impending divorce you may get a highter APR on the loan, since you will appear as a credit risk.

Yes, but I believe it will be considered community property if you aren't legally separated yet. You could always ask a lawyer.

Yes...put it soley in your name. He can't touch it. Get the insurance in your name and don't add him to the policy.
