I'm going to get my hair done at a salon for the first time in ages. One of my friends has cut my hair for years & she has moved out of state. I want to get a cut with highlights and lowlights. How much will this cost? Like, what is the average?

It depends on the legnth of your hair...and how harsh your color is now and how light you'd like to go...but it's usually around &90.00 to &110.00

For the average salon it is based on length.
Short hair - $45-$60
Medium - $55-$80
Long - $65- $100
Super Long - $100+

Yes you may receive this service at a local beauty school, but I suggest you visit a salon with a master colorist. Hair color is a tricky thing and requires a certain level of time the colorist has been in the business. Of coures it will cost more, but you will look good! If there is a school that teaches only hair color in your area,that may work. If you see someone with the service you want, ask them where they go.

It really depends on how nice the salon is. If you want really cheap prices, a beauty school would be the best place.
